Come Learn our unique approach to tapping the wisdom and power of the body in the ceremony of the wilderness quest.
Why does this matter?
While one can lead people to gorgeous and transformative quest experiences without engaging the body, it’s widely agreed among guides and questers that the greatest challenge- what we sometimes call “the real quest”- is incorporation, is bringing the quest experience back into our everyday lives and lifestyles. If you “want your vision to grow corn” and to lead to lasting change in your life, then attending to and engaging the body matters.
This is borne out not only by our own experience, but also by the observations of current neuroscience research. When more of our attention and awareness is directed to more facets of our in-the-moment experience, then greater, lasting change in the brain’s wiring is possible. Besides that, it feels amazing to work in this way and makes a huge difference for people.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How to track the non-verbal cues of the body and deepen questers’ experiences, both in the preparation and incorporation phases of the quest
- Expand and enhance your ability to follow and empathize with others’ stories and journeys
- Why traditional storytelling mirroring doesn’t always lead to lasting incorporation of the gifts from the threshold phase of the quest
- A variety of powerful ways to use the body, other people and nature to deepen a quester’s experience and help them integrate it back into their everyday life
