Men’s Nature Day Retreat- Oct. 7 (Offered w/ Mountain Parks Foundation)

Are You Ready?

    • For a break from your busy schedule and to sit in a supportive circle of men

    • To reconnect with Nature and with your own inner nature

    • To explore how Nature can support you in living in your fullness

Leave your screens and technology behind and step back into deeper connection with yourself, your peers, and the world around you. This is a chance to let the stones, a deer, or perhaps the gentle murmuring of a stream awaken you, guiding you back to yourself and the balance you need in your life. Join us to be supported by other men and Nature in living a soulful, grounded, passionate life amid the ever-growing bustle and disconnection of the 21st century. This retreat is particularly helpful if you are at a point of transition in life, wanting a powerful way to explore particular issues/difficulties, or are ready to slow down and come back to what’s important to you.

We will spend 1/3 of the day in solitude which will be your opportunity to step into a deeper dialogue with wild Nature in ways that support the intentions and inquiry you bring to this day. The other 2/3 of the day will be spent together in a small group, building community and exploring a variety of topics including: ways of seeking guidance, healing, and connection with nature; the adventure of living a meaningful, soulful life as a man in this time, and integrating the offerings received from Nature during your solo time back into your everyday life.

This retreat is limited to 8 participants and is open to anybody self-identifying as a man. This program includes moderate hiking. Participants need to be able to comfortably walk 2 miles including up and down moderate hills with a small daypack filled with the day’s supplies. Meet in the parking lot adjacent to the Visitor Information Center at Big Basin. Those who register will receive more detailed directions and information via email.
